This is a Yin yoga class with guided meditation throughout. Yin yoga has students hold [often passive] postures for 5 minutes and up. It's a practice that targets fascia, tendons and ligaments more than muscles. Not only do we store memories and emotions in our connective tissue but we also hold patterns and habits. This class gives enough time for a practitioner to begin truly feeling what their body is holding onto. Through the guidance of attention, students are encouraged to begin to listen to themselves, feel what they're experiencing, and create a language between their body and mind.
