About Gratitude Migration

What kind of event is Gratitude Migration?

Now in its second year, Gratitude Migration is an immersive, transformational arts and music festival taking place on hELLO beach in Keansburg, New Jersey. Gratitude Migration is a co-created, collaborative experiment in culture and community, built on the Brooklyn underground arts and music community along with collectives from Philadelphia, DC and New Jersey.

Founded in 2010, Gratitude*NYC has brought together theme camps, interactive artists, stunning performances, amazing DJs, VJs and live bands, along with consciousness expanding workshops, speakers, and activities. In 2015, Gratitude began our Migration to the beach in New Jersey, where we bring our experiences out of the Brooklyn warehouse and into the expansive natural surroundings of hELLO Beach.

Camping out for three days on the beach yet completely accessible to the city, at Gratitude Migration, we provide a platform for education, eco-consciousness and expansion alongside mind-blowing art, music, workshops and collaborative community. As a “Leave a Positive Trace” event, Gratitude Migration is committed to leaving the environment better than we found it; and bringing our gifts to share and collaborate with the local community of Keansburg.

Sounds cool. Is there an event guide so I know what’s going on?

There are always so many things going on at Gratitude Migration, from ecology workshops to butterfly parades; from yoga classes to sound healing; from psychedelic body painting to mermaid tea parties. You can check out the full lineup across Music, Art, and Healing here.

We will release a What, Where, When Event Guide before the event that will be accessible via online download so you can play your day – but remember, the best way is to be open, be spontaneous and go where your heart takes you!

What’s the layout and setup for all the areas of entertainment?

There will be two main stage areas on opposite sides of the festival grounds featuring favorites from our lineup; as well as three smaller sound camps featuring DJs all night long. The Mandala Biergarten will be the home of our live world music collaborators and at Center Camp there will be immersive chillout environments with relaxing music.

Music sounds great, but what else will be going on?

This year we’re proud to announce the launch of School of Dreams, featuring short Ted-style talks from visionaries, entrepreneurs, and change-makers across a variety of topics including special programming on environmental consciousness. We will also be screening film clips and featuring a nighttime performance from House of Yes. There will also be workshops and activities scheduled throughout the day around the grounds, so stay tuned for our What Where When guide with the full scoop coming soon.
