Nicole Palapoli, an artist born and raised in New York, started off her artistic endeavors at a young age. She has explored drawing, painting, puppetry, filmmaking, sculpting, photography and stop-motion animation, as well as other forms of art like acting, music and dance. She earned a BFA from the School of Visual Arts in NYC in 2002 and later went on to her Masters in Art Education at Queens College. While in college, she studied painting and art history abroad in Italy and Spain. She worked various jobs such as: The Art director of an art school for children and adults, painting murals, portrait commissions, faux finishing walls and furniture, and teaching art at Forest Hills High School for the Board of Ed. After her short teaching experience, Nicole was introduced to tattooing and has never looked back. Her main focus in tattooing is color portraiture and pinup girls. In 2012, she opened Body Language Tattoo in Astoria, Queens, which is also the home of 4 other tattoo artists, and host of art shows for local artists. She travels to participate in tattoo conventions, live painting at festivals and art retreats. In Nicole’s artwork, she focuses on our human experience, connection with nature and the unified field of consciousness.
