NO BUTTS LEFT BEHIND BY JORDAN ANDRE DE LISO
Jordan is a mechanical design engineer by profession, but has been making sculptures and kinetic contraptions out of salvaged materials and found objects for almost 20 years. His #NoButtsLeftBehind Project is an extension of his passion for sustainability, environmental responsibility, and personal health, as well as a direct action against the fact that there are approximately five trillion (5,000,000,000,000!) cigarette butts littered annually across the planet. The project aims to make smokers and the public more conscious of where their butts end up because a single cigarette butt will toxify 125 gallons of water for small insects, an effect that has consequences up the entire food chain. The ash trays are spiral-anchored into the sand at all the LNT stations and at some of the bars around the beach. Please use them!
